Secret of Bhutan's Well-being during Pandemic

Posted by Ft. Arnab Guha 15/05/2022 0 Comment(s) Diseases - Gut Related,
Has the world forgotten Bhutan during the last two years of pandemic?

Average Life-expectancy in Bhutan is only ~72 YEARS & there are ~100 countries with higher life-expectancy than Bhutan.

But Bhutanese live their life happily. Just keep in mind that they don't have hi-tech medical resources and capabilities like India or top western countries.
.
Till now in #COVID19 pandemic, Bhutan had seen just 9 deaths (equivalent to 11 deaths per 1 million population).
This is an unimaginable figure. Isn't it?

Bhutan is a tiny country of only ~0.8 million population (Feb.2022) & GDP of $2.4B (2020).

Still, BHUTAN is considered as the most happiest country of the world.
Why Bhutanese are less unhappy than rest of the world population?

There are many narratives & jargons on happiness. Some are fine to hear and some can even give you pesudo-happiness.
What I truly believe that only a happy gut can make a happy human.

Surely, the Bhutanese must be eating something or not eating something which is helping in their better gut health.

FYI, The per capita rice consumption in Bhutan was around 150 kg in 2018 while the per capita consumption of wheat was just 6kg i.e per capita consumption of gluten is just around 0.5kg.
